WHY AWARDS?

During the research and development phase of this association several organizations were contacted for advice. To our surprise most associations, organizations, clubs and guilds offer awards of some kind. Upon further scrutiny it was discovered that the main purpose of the award system was to enhance publicity and promotional opportunities for the individual members.

Finding a voice for the true professionals of this industry is imperative, SWA offers that voice for the leaders of this industry. Our plan is to promote those who are outstanding in professionalism and this awards process is one way we can shout your names from the roof tops!

PUBLICITY and PROMOTION

The media does interviews and photo shoots to bring positive publicity to winners of awards. When SWA brings free publicity to its membership that is money in the bank for all the Geothermal industry!

ELIGIBILITY

Every certified member is eligible for any award! The winners of these awards will have special light shown on their accomplishments and that will directly enhance business opportunities for everyone in the Geothermal therapy industry.

Following is a brief overview of the actual awards;

'HONORARY SWA AMBASSADOR'

The first Award is 'Honorary SWA Ambassador'. This award will recognize individuals (one per country, per year) who are helping promote SWA by increasing the membership. When you know someone who is qualified to become a member ask them to join you in this association. If they meet the application criteria they are eligible for Charter Membership. By offering them this opportunity you are helping grow this association in a way that will allow us to finance the advertising campaigns we have proposed.

In this way you are acting as an 'ambassador', spreading the word about our goals for the entire association. The winner will be determined by the total number of members they enroll during the calendar year. (for details on how to 'sponsor' members and receive a commission please contact us)

'HALL OF FAME'

A 'Hall of Fame Award' will be offered for individuals who have done something exceptional for the industry. You may nominate anyone you wish (including yourself) and write a letter describing what their offering to the industry has accomplished.

This might be a practitioner who gives free treatments to the elderly or an instructor offering scholarships to the under privileged, some one who volunteered to give treatments in a region of natural disaster, a person who traveled a great distance at great cost to learn the proper methods of Geothermal Therapy and then brought that knowledge back to their own country to spread the word.

This is a once in a life time award for each member but there are no limits as to how many individuals can be honored with this award each year.

'SWA Seal of Approval'

This award is exclusively for the vendors who are offering our industry the highest quality products. When a company sacrifices easy profit to bring about high standards they deserve special recognition. We have the ability as an independent association to offer this award and help secure free publicity for the vendors who deserve it.

This on going award allows the Certified Vendor to use the SWA SEAL of APPROVAL on all merchandise and products they market to the industry.

This is one way SWA can honor the 'gatherers' of the Stone Nation for their efforts.

'EXCELLENCE IN PROFESSIONALISM'

'Excellence in Professionalism'. This award is reserved for those members who have become leaders in the industry.

There are a few companies world wide that are making an impact on the entire Geothermal Therapy industry, some through expanded teaching organizations reaching masses of students, some by innovative research assisting us with scientific validation and still others helping promote the benefits of Geothermal Therapy in the medical industry.

There are some employers who insist on having highly skilled workers with credentials above reproach that deserve recognition.

This winner may be someone who has created a new course that is offering to open more doors in the medical field, beauty industry or other health and wellness industries that are currently not involved with Geothermal Therapy. Again, be creative and when you nominate an individual, organization or company for this award realize you are offering them some much needed free publicity.

Member Involvement

The award winners are featured in articles that are perfect for publication in local and regional media. The focus of the article will be on the individual and the specifics of the award of course, but this offers SWA an opportunity for public education as well. It allows us to speak about your company, practice, education program or product line while recognizing your status as a Board Certified Member of SWA.

You as the award winner can write all the information you wish to have included in the article so you know exactly what is being said about you and/or your company! Our writers will then develop a story around your information. You will supply a digital photo that we can include in all press releases.

We are willing to submit these articles to as many resources as you can find for us. Each year those who have been nominated and those who win the various awards will be featured on this web page. These are not competitions, but rather a way we can offer acknowledgement to those who are serving the stones.

The 'Awards' page will change in a few months to offer a full nomination form and other requirements for this segment of the associations' offerings.

We hope to eventually host conventions and/or trade shows where an Awards Dinner will be offered. However that is in the future as our first priority is to educate the public about your excellent version of Geothermal Therapy through purchasing advertising world wide and sharing the 'good news' about your amazing offerings!
